After this happened, he went to his mentor or “adopted big brother” England. No one technically knows who the countries are because countries don’t really get too attached or try to NOT get attached to humans other than their military and country’s heads or “bosses.” In this sense, his people would not really know what he looks like as a country or know for a fact who he is.Īmerica’s heart is crushed because he assumes Davie doesn’t want to have anything to do with him because he couldn’t find the flower that he wanted. He and his friend have a little discussion amongst each other over the the child, if I believe this correctly, and they leave for lack of not knowing who the child is and not knowing what to do.ĭavie does not recognize America because not only has a lot of time passed, but even if he did recall America, he would’ve expected him to grow up like regular humans do. America may remember him, but Davie does not recognize him.
Unfortunately, Davie has grown up a bit more from when they last met. He’s disappointed, but decides to go back into town to see his friend again. He is a young COUNTRY so the passage of time and his perception of time is much, MUCH different from a human’s perspective.Īmerica searches for a while, but he cannot find the flower. This is the point in time I will pause and remind everyone that this is a young COUNTRY. America thinks this flower looks really cool and tells his friend that he will go find the flower for him and will come back when he finds it. Davie brought America to his home and shows him a picture of a flower that he would like to obtain.
During this time, America came across a human who introduced himself by the name of “Davie.” He and Davie became fast friends. This is during the colonizational time of the British Empire, when America was considered a relatively young country. This is not the current America that we know and love, but the past version of himself. To better explain, I’ll do a rundown of the events that have just taken place for those who cannot understand. There are humans that also exist in this world and the countries will have interacted or come across them at least once, in fact, many times. This is only the selection of main characters however. You can understand the hype and the excitement from fans alike as they scrambled to read the comic… to see this and be brought to tears.įor those of you who do not know the basis of Hetalia, the explanation I can offer you is that the main characters are personified countries.
